The Entropy Minimality of Tree-Shift of Finite Type | While the topological entropy of a one-dimensional shift of finite type is well elucidated, the investigation of multidimensional shifts is difficult. In this talk, I will introduce symbolic dynamics defined on infinite trees, which are called tree-shifts. Tree-shifts have a natural structure between one-sided shifts and multidimensional shifts. A shift space of minimal entropy means that no proper subspace can reproduce its dynamical behavior. A sufficient condition for entropy minimality of multidimensional shift spaces is addressed by Boyle et al. By studying the entropy minimality of tree-shifts, we want to observe a necessary and sufficient condition for entropy minimality of multidimensional shifts. |
