講 題:Existence Theorems of Solutions for Various Boundary Value Problems – by Diverse Methods

摘 要:

Existence issue of solutions for studying differential equations is always theoretical and essential. In this talk, we will show several diverse approaches applied to establish existence theorems of solutions of various boundary value problems, for example, the Sturm-Liouville’s, the periodic or the nonlocal boundary constraints. We separate this talk as three parts. 

1. Apply Schauder fixed point theorem to the Sturm-Liouville’s or nonlocal boundary value problems 

2. Coincidence degree theory on high order periodic boundary value problem on time scale

3. Theory and Construction of upper and lower solution for singular perturbation problems equipped with nonlocal boundary condition

We especially point out that in part 3, through the construction of upper and lower solutions, one can not only make sure the existence of solutions but also get some behaviors as the parameter (in singular perturbation problem) small. Furthermore, we also plan to briefly introduce the present work on non-well-ordered upper and lower solutions topic.
