講 題:Global synchronization for a class of nonlinearly coupled systems with delays

Synchronization in coupled dynamical systems has attracted a lot of attention the last decades. For tackling synchronization problems, especially global synchronization, the existing techniques mostly required that the couplings in the systems are linearly or nonlinearly diffusive, with or without delays. However, there are nonlinear systems with more intricate coupling. In this talk, we present a novel approach for global dynamics of coupled systems. Under this approach, the problem of establishing the synchronization or convergence for delayed coupled nonlinear systems is transformed to solving a corresponding linear system of algebraic equations. We apply this approach to some non-diffusively coupled neural networks and neuronal models. We study both the synchronization and the asymptotic synchronous phases of the dynamics. Some numerical simulations are given to illustrate the effect of network scale, coupling strength and coupling delay upon the synchrony of the systems considered.
