論文題目：A Study Report on the Mathematical Modelling of GnRH Secretion

摘　　要：

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is a key hormone of the reproductive axis (or the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadic axis). It is secreted by specific hypothalamic neurons in a pulsatile manner. The actual mechanism and physiological implications in vivo remain unclear; nevertheless, based on the results from an in vitro experiment of cultured GnRH neurons, Khadra and Li constructed a mathematical model, which explains the possible mechanism of GnRH pulsatile secretion from the GnRH neurons in the molecular/cellular level. Their model equations illuminate the different role played by each G-protein subtype and that the interplay between these subtypes gives rise to the pulsatile response of GnRH. Unable to reproduce these results directly in the absence of any given initial conditions, we provide our own numerical approach to estimate parameters that are capable of producing pulsatile response. With suitable rescaling, the results in the current study are comparable in profiles to those presented in Khadra and Li.
