講　題：Investigating Combinatorics

摘　要：

Combinatorics is a branch of mathematics concerning the study of finite or countable structures. Well-known fields include Graph theory, Design Theory, Enumerative Combinatorics, Algebraic Combinatorics, Algorithms and Combinatorial Optimization etc. Among its applications, Coding Theory, Cryptography, Networks and Group Testing are most popular topics. In this talk, I shall give a brief description of most of them. Hopefully, this introductory talk can provide a good reason why investigating combinatorics is necessary and important.
